2026 Moonflower Multicultural Heritage Festival

On October 24, 2026, the Austin Moonflower Performing Arts Group hosted the Moonflower Multicultural Heritage Festival at the George Washington Carver Museum. The event celebrated the group's 10th anniversary and multicultural connection, partnering with IFA Dancing & Drum, a West African dance and percussion group. This event featured a variety of Chinese and African cultural activities, alongside stage performances of traditional and contemporary Chinese dance and music, West African drum and dance, Kung Fu martial arts, and lion dances — all performed by our members and guest performers from IFA Dancing & Drum, Sylla Music,  Shaolin Temple Cultural Center, Texas Southern Sea Dragon and Lion Dance Association, Ruan Sisters (Ruan is a traditional Chinese plucked string instrument), as well as, Eric Zhao (solo vocal), Cathy Liu (Peking Opera), Peng-An Ang (diabolo), and Yuxin Liu (soprano and choir director). The Lost Creek Station band and Master Huang's Tai Chi team also attracted a large crowd in the lobby.
