Austin Moonflower Performing Arts Group hosted the 2024 Lunar New Year Celebration Gala on February 10, 2024 at Vandegrift High School Auditorium. Over 300 spectators attended the event. The two-hour gala showcased traditional and contemporary Chinese music, dance, Kung Fu martial art, and more,  performed by our members and guest performers from The Dropouts band, Shaolin Temple Cultural Center, The Love of China School of Chinese Dance, Aiping Tai Chi Center, as well as Jennifer Zhang (Chinese flute), Jiayi Baolin (Bass), Lao Mao (vocal and guitar), Tzu-Kuang Tan (piano), Jinni Shen (Soprano), Jun Shen (dance), Eric Zhao (Tenor), and Dieyu Cao (drum). The event finale featured our group's new performance piece Pride of The Dragon including Chinese big drums, dragon dance, and fan dance.
